Les Ateliers is looking for a workshop assistant in Hyderabad, India
The Hyderabad International Urban Workshop is about:
🪄 A creative event lasting two weeks in November 2024, during which 15 participants from all origins and disciplines work in teams to freely share proposals for the Hyderabad metropolis.
🎨 Illustrated strategies and innovative ideas, presented and discussed during a jury, bringing together an audience made up of elected officials and experts from the Telangana and beyond
👫 A network and a platform for exchanges and work between Hyderabad actors to prepare, support and promote the work of the workshop
Preparing an event of this magnitude requires collective work, both scientific and logistical, in particular through the development of workshop working documents, the preparation of the field visit program and the logistics linked to it, and the support for participants. The assistant-pilot is a crucial member of Les Ateliers' team to achieve this preparation.
The workshop will focus on the relationship between Hyderabad’s urban growth and the city’s hydrographic network and groundwater. We aim to explore its management, economic, social, and environmental roles.
Your mission :
• Animating a local network for the preparation of the workshop
• Meeting local strategic stakeholders, representative actors and experts
• Preparing the scientific work, by producing a specific document on the city and its challenges, the “context document”, and by organizing a round table cycle with the workshop partners
• Setting up a working program for the international workshop to be held in November: field visits and meetings with local stakeholders, conferences, working days...
• Organizing the logistical aspects of the stay of the participants
• Supporting the participants during the workshop
• Producing the “session book” gathering all proposals from the teams
The assistant is part of a collective work in which the scientific pilots, Les Ateliers team, the partners as well as the local actors and specialists involved.
Required profile :
Master's or 3rd cycle student, young professional available or doctoral student, having interest in urban and environmental issues, keen on doing research and animation.
Good social, analytical and writing skills required
Able to work on your own. Part of the work will be led autonomously in Hyderabad.
Language: fluency in English is essential.
Software: Use of Microsoft Office, Adobe pack. Mastery of GIS is a plus. Ability to produce graphic documents and maps
The mission takes place from April to November. Half time work between April and August, full time work between September and November. Presence is required during the time of the workshop. The job is paid. Self-employed mission.
