Hyderabad, India: Final restitution and closing of the workshop the 6th of December
Mr. Dana Kishore, Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration & Urban Development of the Government of Telangana, and Managing Director of the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Limited and Pierre-André Périssol hold the jury that assesses the projects submitted to the session of the international workshop on the following topic:
« Water and Metropolitanisation
A bioclimatic city of lakes, Hyderabad comes full circle as Health Capital of the world »
Les Ateliers, the Government of Telangana, and the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Limited, organized this workshop with the support from the French Embassy In India and the French Development Agency as part of the local and international momentum on waterfront regeneration and water ecosystems preservation.
How to face the water challenges in one of India’s fastest-growing megacities? How to rejuvenate the Musi river and preserve the city’s inherited mosaic-like structure of green urban communities organised around water bodies?
For a period of 14 days, 15 Indian and international experts worked together in three teams pro bono publico (without payment) on formulating illustrated strategies and project proposals. These strategies and proposals have been presented to local institutions and stakeholders meeting as members of an international jury.
The jury’s mission was to identify the strategic and operational proposals most relevant to the Hyderabad metropolis.
